Illegal Drugs

There are drugs that are prohibited to use because of it's harmful side effects over time. Those drugs are difficult to cure and would take so many years for rehabilitation and recovery.

1. Heroin Heroin can lead to seizures, psychosis, and hallucinations when abused. Heroin injections could also spread diseases such as human immunodeficiency virus and hepatitis. This drug is well-known to inflict serious health issues when it is abused because it interferes with the brain’s receptors. Users can become physically dependent on it quickly, requiring them to take more to achieve the same high, yet too much heroin can lead to a fatal and severe overdose. Individuals who take in always require professional rehabilitation because the symptoms of withdrawal may be life-threatening.

2. Cocaine Cocaine is a dangerous stimulant that takes effect even when taken in small amounts. Cocaine induces euphoria, increases blood pressure, and accelerates the heart rate. This drug leads to fatal strokes or heart attacks for some users. The abuse of this is also known to cause financial, legal, and physical issues. Due to the severe effect of the misuse of cocaine, users require immediate professional treatment.

3. Crack A potent form of cocaine, crack is usualy smoked and suddenly creates an intense euphoric sensation for a short while. It is cheap and easy to buy and easy to use. Abusing the substance, can lead to immediate addiction. Abusers also are at high risk of suffering heart attacks and strokes with every use. Long-term use can cause liver, kidney, and lung damage (either permanent or temporary). Users must seek help in rehabilitation facilities because the withdrawal symptoms are dangerous and could inflict serious damage.

4. Hallucinogens PCP (phencyclidine) and LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) are hallucinogens that makes the users feel, see, and hear things that are not existing in reality. While they are experiencing hallucinations with these drugs, users detaches from reality and enter a mental state of disconnection. Some users of PCP and LSD enter the violent states of psychosis. Withdrawing from hallucinogens is not easy, and abusers will need professional treatment in a rehab facility as soon as possible.

5. Amphetamines Accelerating the user’s bodily and mental functions and capabilities, amphetamines can cause manic distress in abusers. These periods are usually associated with extreme paranoia, inexplicable behavior, and delusions. Some of the amphetamine abusers tend to become very violent and attack loved ones unintentionally. Amphetamines are harsh, dangerous drugs, and abusers need medical attention and appropriate rehabilitation in professional facilities.

6. Marijuana Marijuana is the most common of all illegally abuses drugs, and most people starts their relationship with it as a recreational drug in social situations. Continuous abuse of marijuana can lead to addiction, and the substance can greatly affect the physical coordination, memory, and mental functions of users over time. While it is easy to abuse marijuana, letting go of it is clearly not that easy, so professional treatment is very important to refrain from the continuous abuse.

7. Alcohol Alcohol once abused, can cause psychological, physical, and social problems, that can lead to the destruction of relationships, friendships, and marriages. Many of the alcohol abusers drink so much that their bodies are unable to handle it. This requires hospitalization for alcohol poisoning. Furthermore, alcohol abuse can lead to injury or death to the people around them while they are under the influence of the substance. Alcohol detachment can be fatal because of delirium tremens, which is a symptom with the potential to trigger heart failure or stroke. Professional assistance is indeed necessary for the abusers of alcohol.

8. Inhalants Inhalants does not technically belong in the category of narcotics, but since people abuse them and can become addicted to them over time, it is considered to be one. Some of the substances that are considered to be inhalants are spray paints, butane, and nitrous oxide that they can inhale to become high. It is very risky to abuse inhalants because the user will have a permanent brain damage or even sudden death. Users must stop inhaling the substances before the damage occurs.

9. Prescription Drugs The second-most commonly abused among all drugs are prescriptions, including everything from anti-anxiety medications to sedatives and ADHD pills to anti-seizure medications. The abuse of Vicodin and Oxycodone during recovery from injuries is also common. Abuse of prescription medications can be very fatal if the users will not seek treatment.
